Knee surgery.

All right, if anyone is curious, here are the gory details. If you are faint at heart or weak of stomach, you might want to avoid the pics. I am doing okay, off the vicodin and back on beer. I have been doing my PT exercises and every day it gets better. I don't know if I will be able to run around on stage or even stand this weekend, but I think by Cornstalk I might be able to sport some moves. Thank you all for your concern, texts, emails, baskets, cards, and support!

Keep Your Eyes Peeled
Police in Madison are on the lookout for a serial flasher. I know that I'm personally going to inspect the driver of every red Chevy Avalanche that I see from now on.

Bi-Level
Great band from St. Louis on the second date of their first tour. Definitely check them out, I hope they make it out to the W.I. with us soon!
What a Party!
Thanks, everyone, for making the 10-year Sunspot celebration a truly magnificent party! The weather cleared up just in time for the show... it was the perfect night and wonderful to see so many people out to rock.
We'll get the drummer cams up soon. If you have any photos from the show, please send us an email and we'll post them on the web site!
Tonight we're returning to Ichabod's in Effingham, IL. We had a great time last time we did a show there and look forward to returning.
I'm still under the weather, with a nasty case of tonsilitis and recovering from strep, but I am determined to "rock the pain away"!
See you on the road...

Here's the poster for Friday's show. If you know of any place that would be good to put them up, we'd really appreciate it.

This is the Big Week!
Lots to do this week as we prepare for the big "10-Year Anniversary" show at Capital Brewery this Friday!
Right now the weather forecast is looking good... Let's hope it stays that way for Friday! As you may know, Capital is not only the maker of my very favorite beer, but the beer garden is one of my favorite hang-outs in Madison. Capital generously sponsored our "Cynical" CD release party back in November, and we're thrilled to get to play the beer garden on a summer Friday!
So, to get ready for the show, I've been sorting through a lot of the "old school" Sunspot photos, flyers, etc. I'm hoping to get a memory-book put together for people to look at as we celebrate the past decade! If you have any ideas for things you'd like to see, please let me know.

Nice Blog Shoutout and Barn Bash Thanks
http://wausaublog.wordpress.com
Thanks for the kind words, Dino.
Barn Bash was crazy. Thanks to everyone who drove so far to rock with us. I've never mudwrestled before and I felt like John Candy in Stripes. What an amazing party. Thanks to Mikey K for inviting us, Fish for jamming with us, and Kevin for hosting the throngs of drunks at his place.
I haven't been up this early in a long time. Wendy's still out for the count.

Looking forward to the weekend...
Can't wait to hit The House of Rock in Eau Claire again tomorrow night. We've had some awesome parties there and I heard some news that one of our friends will be celebrating his birthday. I think someone might die from liver failure this weekend. If that someone is me, that's okay, I've had a good run.
Saturday night at Barn Bash 06 is gonna be killer as well. Every band is fun and it's a chance to meet a lot of musicians. All rock n' roll, no hippie bullshit, and a chance to get crazy with Sunspot and party all night under the stars.
Man, the week is dragging.
Thursday? Fuck Thursday!

Dragonforce!
Thanks so much Uncle Timmy, once again you come through, brother. Holy shit, Dragonforce is fucking awesome! They're like Avenged Sevenfold's way cooler kickass older brother.
Sad Day For Stoners
Syd Barrett dies at 60. Along with that fat fuck, Jerry Garcia, Syd was instrumental in the creation of boring ass psychedelia, where the rock was surgically removed from rock n' roll and replaced with jerking off. He hadn't done anything remotely useful in over thirty years, but high school hackey-sacking assholes and old guys with tie-dye shirts and ponytails still remember the first couple of Pink Floyd albums fondly. I think Syd's departure from Floyd was the best thing that could've happened to them. Death sucks, though.

Some Acoustic Vids from this weekend...
Our good buddy, Aquamunkee, put some clips from us performing a suprise acoustic set at Wendy's brother's graduation party this Saturday. It was a great party and a lot of fun. Thought you might like it, because there's not a lot of footage of us performing live acoustic on the net.

Mobius Striptease Tonight!
Our good friends in Mobius Striptease will be at The King Club tonight. We'll be there partying it up and you should too! Joe's an awesome bassist and we know that MG Sherry busts ass on the drums, so come on down, the more Sunspot friends, the better!
The Cynergy 67 show at The Inferno has been moved to The Back Bar in Janesville. So, if you were planning on going to that, then make sure you fill up the tank.

I've leveled up....
...in geekiness.
Yep, I've finally joined the leagues of "Treonauts" by buying the latest and greatest, the 700p. And I must say, it's pretty trucking sweet.
Now I can check email and surf the web (oh yeah and call people) no matter where I am. Yay!
I guess now I can't tease Mike anymore about his superphone.... D'OH!
Thanks Mike and Devious for convincing me to get off my duff and with the times!
